Integrative Bodywork incorporates several techniques that may include swedish relaxation massage, deep tissue massage, Myofascial release techniques and Craniosacral Therapy. Each session is customized to the client's needs.
A description of each modality is listed below.
Swedish Relaxation Massage- a relaxing and therapeutic massage that incorporates the full body using traditional long strokes combined with kneading techniques. This is the best technique to increase your circulation or improve the skin and muscle tone, and soothe tired muscles as well as relieve stress and tension.
Deep Tissue Massage- This type of massage is designed to target specific areas deep within the muscle tissues, assisting in the removal of lactic acids and allowing our systems to work more effectively. This technique also relieves stress and tension.
Myofascial Release- This safe and effective hands on technique involves applying gentle and sustained pressure into the connective tissue restrictions in the body to eliminate pain and restore motion. Restrictions can occur due to trauma, injury or surgery. This technique is performed directly on the skin without the use of oils or creams.
Craniosacral Therapy- This deeply relaxing and very gentle technique is done while the client is fully clothed. Using light touch to release soft tissue restrictions in the central nervous system, (the membranes and fluid that surround the brain and spinal cord), balance is restored. Client's report that they feel very relaxed after a session.
